My Training Schedule……Scary

I thought some of you might find it interesting, or amusing , to see the schedule I have been put on to get me ready for the 5k run in February. It is painful. I used to jog a lot and I am hoping to get back in that shape. That is the goal any way.

Week 1    Nov 30 - Dec 6

6 days, walk 1 minute , run 1 minute for 30 minutes

Week 2   Dec 7 - Dec 13

6 days ,  walk 1 minute,  run 1 minute for 40 minutes

Week 3    Dec 14 - Dec 20

6 days , walk 1 minute,   run 2 minutes for 30 minutes

week 4   Dec 21 - Dec 27

6 days,  walk 1 minute,  run 2 minutes for 40 minutes

Week 5   Dec 28 - Jan 3

6 days,  walk 1 minute,  run 3 minutes for 35 minutes

Week 6  Jan 4 - Jan 10

6 days , walk 1 minute,  run 3 minutes for 45 minutes

Week 7   Jan 11 - Jan 17

6 days,  Run 11 minutes, then walk 2 minutes,  then run another 9 minutes, then walk 2 minutes,  then run another 8 minutes

Week 8   Jan 18 - Jan 24

6 days Run 11 minutes, then walk 1 minute, then run 9 minutes, then walk 1 minute, then run 8 minutes

Week 9  Jan 25 - Jan 31

6 days, Run 14 minutes, walk 2 minutes, run 14 minutes , then walk 2 minutes

Week 10  Feb 1 - Feb 8

6 days , Run 20 minutes, then walk 2 minutes, then run 12 minutes

Week 11  RACE WEEK    Feb 8 - 11

6 days Run 20 minutes Monday - Wednesday    Rest Thursday

5k on Friday!!!

Drink 10 glasses of water a day, cut out bread, fried foods, no sugar, no soda’s and eat lots of fruit and vegetables.

That diet thing will be the hard part!!!
